Getting Risk Support
Getting Risk Support focuses solely on risk management for those who are of high concern due to a lack of therapeutic progress.
Some children or young people may have some or many of the difficulties outlined in Getting Help or Getting More Help above BUT, despite extensive input, they or their family are currently unable to make use of advice, help, or more help AND they remain a risk to themselves or others.
This group may include those who routinely go into crisis; who self-harm; who have emerging personality disorders or ongoing issues that have not yet responded to interventions; or who have contact with social services, youth justice etc.
While they have not benefited or are unable to use help, these young people are at such risk that they are still in contact with mental health services, i.e. where support provided is managing risk ONLY.

The Crisis Care Centre is an essential component of the urgent care pathway and provides an all age single point of access to mental health services.
* A single point of contact for all Mental Health Crisis for individuals of all ages, including children and young people
The Crisis Care Centre offer an immediate response for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis either by telephone or in person, to ensure individuals are signposted to the most appropriate pathway to meet their needs.

Through keeping these young people connected, bringing objectivity to their thinking, providing a safe and friendly environment in which they can express themselves, and helping them to identify trigger points/early warning signs/set advance directives – Stay Well services, (i.e. peer-support groups, 1-2-1 coaching and recovery-focused activities), can play a significant role in risk management.
